Nina Gladkikh (29), an editor for a company in Moscow, the capital of Russia, plans to walk the Lycian Way in 1 month on the 500-kilometre route she will realize alone.
Working as an editor for a company in Moscow, nature and history enthusiast Nina Gladkikh came to Antalya for the Lycian Way trek. The Russian tourist, who started walking alone on the Lycian Way from Antalya's Konyaaltı district on September 30, aims to complete the 500-kilometre walk in Fethiye, Muğla on November 1.
Nina Gladkikh reached Demre on the Lycian Way walk and said, "Last year, I came to Antalya and Istanbul on holiday. I love nature. I studied the Lycian Way last year. I took 35 days off from my workplace. I will walk the entire Lycian Way. In Demre, I'm not afraid to walk alone. Helpful and hospitable people live in the mountains and roads where the Lycian Way passes. I stayed in a tent alone in the mountains and by the sea at night. The places that have impressed me the most so far are Gelidonya Lighthouse, Çıralı, Olympos and Demre. "Places with historical and natural beauties on the Lycian Way are lovely," he said.
Nina Gladkikh stated that she aims to complete 500 kilometers by walking 15-20 kilometers a day in Fethiye on 1 November and returning to Moscow on 2 November. (Ahmet Acar- DHA)
