Patara and Olympos are in Turkey Top Ranking

According to TUIK, Patara and Olympos are among the most visited places.

According to the figures shared by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the tourism city Antalya, with two different ruins, entered the top 10 among Turkey's most visited ruins and museums. While Konya Mevlana Museum took the first place, Patara Ancient City was 9th with 401 thousand 363 people, and Olympos archaeological site was 10th with 377 thousand 322 people.

Turkey's number of museums and visitors has increased compared to previous years. According to the data for 2021, the number of museums affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism was 210, while there were 309 private museums. The number of announced ruins was 143. The total number of visitors to museums and ruins was 23 million 245 thousand 317. It is stated that 2022 data will be shared with the public in 2023.

According to the data of the Central Directorate of Revolving Fund Management (DÖSİM) for 2021, the most visited museum in Turkey was Konya Mevlana Museum. Following the museum called by 1 million 507 thousand 264 people, the top 10 museums and ruins are listed as follows:

"Denizli Hierapolis 1 million 197 thousand 561 people, İzmir Ephesus 673 thousand 544 people, Nevşehir Zelve- Paşabağları 608 thousand 742 people, Şanlıurfa Göbeklitepe 565 thousand 246 people, Istanbul Galata Tower 554 thousand 943 people, Nevşehir Göreme 552 thousand 617 people, Aksaray Ihlara Valley 404 thousand 676 people, Antalya Patara Ancient City 401 thousand 363 people, Antalya Olympos 377 thousand 322 people.
