Konyaaltı Municipality will host the International An-Aqua Swimming Race 2022 and continues its preparations for the event that will take place on October 22-23.
Preparations for the 'International An-Aqua Swimming Race 2022', which Konyaaltı Municipality will organize, continue. The competitions, in which 450 athletes applied, will take place on October 22-23. An-Aqua Swimming Race will take place with five different tracks and relay races. The tracks were organized as 600, 1500, 3000 and 6000 meters. The endpoint of the tracks, which will start in the coastline section in front of Konyaaltı Municipality, has been determined to be at the same place.
Konyaaltı Mayor Semih Esen stated that they want to move water sports forward in the region with the An-Aqua Swimming Race event will be held for the first time this year. They aim to develop the event further and make it sustainable and international. In the Konyaaltı Municipality An-Aqua Swimming Race event, Bengisu Avcı, the youngest Turkish woman to swim in the English Channel that separates England and France, will take part, as well as professional athletes. These amateur athletes have devoted themselves to swimming. Konyaaltı Municipality An-Aqua Swimming Race will be held under the race coordination of our national athlete Mert Onaran, who represents our country in the world's most famous races. The open water swimming race will bring a new sporting event to Antalya.
