In the city, where more than 20 thousand insured employees from 130 countries are, the number of resident foreigners allowed for residence approached 200 thousand. Children of families who settled in Antalya continue their education in the city. 21 thousand 284 of the 491 thousand 192 students studying in 1336 public and 417 private schools in Antalya are foreign nationals.
The majority of foreign students continue their education in schools in Alanya, Muratpaşa, Konyaaltı and Kepez districts. Russians are in first place with 3,899 students in the city. About 1000 Ukrainian students study in Turkish schools. In addition to Russian and Ukrainian children, students from countries such as Syria, Germany, Kazakhstan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Jordan and Uzbekistan continue their education in schools in the city.
Mehmet Karabacak, Deputy Provincial Director of National Education, said, "There are 491 thousand students in 1753 schools in Antalya, the pearl of the Mediterranean. "The highest number of students from 92 different countries is Russia.
