Tahtalı Mountain is a part of the Western Taurus Mountains. It is on the Teke Peninsula within the Beydağları National Park. The mountain is the highest point in the region. It is close to the sea, with an altitude of 2,365 meters on the borders of Antalya, on the Kemer coastline, to the west of Tekirova.
Tahtalı, the 'Mountain of the Gods' in ancient times, is called Olympos Mountain in mythology. The mountain, which has been given special importance and considered sacred throughout history, arouses the excitement and curiosity of many adventure lovers.
From the summit of the mountain, which offers different activities for nature lovers, there are four-hour mountain hiking routes to Beycik Village and approximately six hours to Çukuryayla. The western route, one of the most enjoyable routes of the Lycian Way, covered with cedar and juniper trees, passes through the strait on the west side of the mountain.
Olympos Cable Car, the second-longest in the world and the longest in Europe, connect the Mediterranean and the summit of Tahtalı Mountain, which is 2,365 meters high. On the cable car tour, it is possible to see cedar trees, mountain goats, raptor and songbird species, wild boars, wolves, chameleons and lizards, which reveal the rich fauna and flora of the mountain, together with a unique visuality.
An extraordinary panoramic view and clean mountain air await you when you reach the summit. Various activities are organized around the mountain to discover the region's beauties better. Watching the sunrise and sunset at the summit, trekking on the pleasant tracks of the area, cycling and paragliding are just a few of these activities.
