Grida is one of the best-known fish in the Mediterranean Region. It is also known as Lahos or Lagos. Oily and meaty fish is frequently consumed throughout the region due to their flavor. This dish is included in the definition of soup and is called Grida Steamed by the people.
Onions, potatoes, carrots, bay leaves, black pepper, salt and parsley stalks tied with thread are boiled in boiling water to prepare Grida Steamed. The fish is added to the pot after about half an hour. The cooked fish is taken out of the pot and placed on the serving plate as a whole after 10-15 minutes. The parsley stalks are removed from the pot when the vegetables are fully cooked. The dressing, which is prepared by mixing flour, lemon juice and normal water, is added to the soup. It is boiled until the flour smell is gone. The soup transferred to the serving bowl has two different presentations. If desired, Grida meat is placed in the soup placed on the plates or first drunk. Then the Grida is eaten with olive oil and lemon drizzled on it. Many fish restaurants include Grida Steamed on their menus, which you should try when visiting Antalya.
