Arabian Kadayif

Arabian Kadayif is a very popular and famous dessert consumed in the Antalya region. It is also known as 'Flat Kadayif' or 'Stone Kadayif' in some regions of Turkey.
 
A dough is prepared by mixing semolina flour, hot water and yeast for one of Antalya's best-known local delicacies. A mortar consisting of crushed walnuts, ground cinnamon and granulated sugar is put into the dough, which is cooked on one side in the pan. The covered kadayif is dipped in egg and fried in hot oil, dipped in warm sherbet, decorated with walnuts or pine nuts, and served. This special recipe will create an explosion of flavor on the palate. It is among the desserts you must try during your Antalya visit.
