Kaş City Tour

Kaş, one of the most important touristic districts of Antalya, offers a unique holiday opportunity to visitors with unspoiled nature, cool waters, natural and historical values. In addition to the ancient cities and world-famous beaches around the district, it also has many beauties worth seeing in the center.

You can start your Kaş city tour from Cumhuriyet Square. There are many restaurants, cafes and bars around the square to sit against the sea and harbour view. Fishermen, tour boats, and yachts line up at Kaş Harbor behind the square.

The most popular of the streets extending from Cumhuriyet Square is Uzun Çarşı. Offering a riot of colors with its 2-3-storey houses decorated with bay windows and flowers, bearing the traces of traditional architecture, Uzun Çarşı has a fairy-tale atmosphere. There are souvenir shops, jewellers, boutiques, carpet makers, and antique shops on the stone-floored street. There are boutique hostels, restaurants and cafes on the streets that connect to the bazaar on both sides.

At the end of the Long Bazaar, one of the symbols of Kaş, BC. There is a Lion Sarcophagus of the 4th century. Antiphellos Ancient City, which is also about a ten-minute walk from the town center, is one of the must-see places during the city tour. Kaş Antique Theater is located by the sea, overlooking Meis Island. The most important feature of the theatre is that it is the only theatre in Anatolia with a single front to the sea. The only remaining cistern dating back to the 5th century BC in the area stretching from the bazaar to the ancient theater is one of the rarest works of Kas.

Another alternative during the city tour is the Meis tour, one of the closest Greek Islands to Turkey, which is only 2,100 meters away from Kaş. You can visit Meis Island daily by ferryboats departing from Kaş.
