Folkloric Yoruk Park Open Air Museum

Folkloric Yoruk Park Open Air Museum, in the center of Kemer, on the Küçükburun Peninsula, which is covered with pines behind the marina and extends for about 300 meters towards the sea, is one of the most important representatives of alternative tourism in the district. The museum carries the Yörük culture, which has a history of more than 700 years in the Mediterranean and is an integral part of the region to the present day.

It draws attention to authentic landscape and folkloric texture. The park is one of the most popular locations in Kemer. In the bristle tents in the park, which is designed as a small ethnography museum, some objects and tools describe the daily life social and cultural environments of the Yoruks and reflect their traditions and customs, together with lifeless mannequins. The traditional and folkloric music that accompanies you while visiting the museum allows you to make sense of and feel the atmosphere of the period in a more realistic way.

Küçükburun Peninsula, one of the symbols of Kemer, where the Folkloric Yoruk Park Open Air Museum is, has one of the most beautiful views of the district. After visiting the museum, where you will have the opportunity to learn about the nomadic culture, you can take a breather in the small cafe in the park, taste the fresh pancakes with foamy buttermilk or hot tea while watching the unique visuality of the marina and the famous Moonlight Beach. You can complete your visit by taking a nature walk on the pleasant track covered with greenery in the 25-year-old forest in the continuation of the area.
