TJK Antalya Racecourse was built by the Jockey Club of Turkey (TJK) in 2017 and opened with the races held on January 19, 2022. It is in Yağca Neighbourhood of the Döşemealtı district, as Turkey's 10th hippodrome.
TJK Antalya Racecourse is the third-largest racecourse in the country (810,762 m²) after Diyarbakır (1,458,750 m²) and Ankara 75th Anniversary (1,383,282 m²). Racecourses are 1980 meters long, both 20 meters wide. There are two tracks, a synthetic (polytrack) race track and an 1835-meter semi-synthetic training track.
At TJK, Antalya Racecourse hosts thousands of race lovers and is the scene of exciting moments. The races take place on Wednesdays and Fridays every week for six months, including January, February, March, April, November and December.
One thousand one hundred four purebreds can be housed in the 46 double-storey stables of the hippodrome, which is built uniformly. The hippodrome is where the races are held in a clockwise direction. There is a tribune building with a seating capacity of 1800, 1400 of which is outside and 400 of which are closed, and an open area for those who want to watch the races standing up. The hippodrome also has a parking lot with a capacity of 742 vehicles.
At TJK Antalya Racecourse is the 8th hippodrome where night races are held. The 168 square meter scoreboard and 124 square meters LED screen are the details that increase the viewing pleasure of horse racing enthusiasts.
There is also a racehorse hospital within the hippodrome, where there is a horse therapy center for disabled children. The people of Antalya can benefit from the picnic areas in the hippodrome to spend a pleasant and peaceful day alone with nature.
